I agree with Katrin, it is a bit strange. For me, those search filters seem
completely non-functional because if a search first it takes me to the
different display with extra options, and if I haven't done a search first
(which is the only way I can use this advanced search) then no results show.
(if that makes sense.)

the 'Subscription search' on serials-search.pl (search results) works well.
What if we take this code and replaced the advanced search on serials-home.pl
with this? the advanced search has it's own include file (.inc) so we could put
it in there, and then just refer to the include in the serials-search.pl file.

Thoughts? let me know if it doesn't make sense!
