I forget the exact details, but there were some issues with wheezy.

Additionally, when debugging, always add:

<trace_to>Stderr</trace_to>

to the <elasticsearch> block in koha-conf.xml, it will trace all the traffic
between elasticsearch and Koha to stderr.
