Testing, I see a huge change in the 'Normal view' but little to no change in
either the MARC or ISBD view

Export bibtex or DublinCore are both almost empty after patch.

Tests pass.

If I understood the test plan I think I should see nothing/next to nothing in
the MARC/ISBD views but I still see most of the record.
