Indeed, I thought the two files were identical when I first looked at them, but
they're not quite. the same. I was unable to get any output in Koha (other than
the LDR field) using the XSLT from edsd. The file from MarcEdit produces usable
(bot not perfect) output. I, too, noticed a problem with utf-8 output, but
hadn't tried yet to identify the source of the problem, so in a way I'm glad
you're seeing the problem as well.

I'll attach an image showing the output I get in Koha doing a Z39.50 search
both with and without the MarcEdit XSLT file in use.
