Just noting: item-level_itypes ON is used in most libraries as it's a common
use case to have multiple items on a record with different item types. (See:
https://hea.koha-community.org/systempreferences to get an idea of use of
systempreferences)

I am not sure use of SQL in Koha::Items is ok - CC'ing some QA team members and
RM.
