I attached the patches that I was working on last year.

I would like to point out that the work was left unfinished. Especially the
patches without a proper test plan are probably somewhat untested and need more
testing. There could be new occurrences to C4::Members::Messaging that also
need to be handled by these patches. Please keep this in mind if testing. I
remember there was some bug related to category messaging preference view and
I'm not sure if that got fixed.

I was hoping someone in the community finds this work useful and wants to take
it to the finish line. Feel free to steal this Bug or help fixing issues by
follow-ups.
