Do you have any links to that patch? A BZ number?

You're more than welcome to submit additional changes to this bug, but as it is
right now, we're following the original usecase of the client who sponsored
this development, and I don't see myself swerving too far off what we already
have here.

Well, it *kinda* warns you by highlighting the whole input box in red if you
don't follow the defined type, but I get what you mean. Another patch coming up
for this.
