Jon, the "importance" setting has no effect on how bug fixes are prioritized.
If a bug isn't moving there are a few things you can do:

- Provide more information. My comment from 2016 asks for more information and
got no response.

- Bring it up on the mailing list. If others are bothered by the problem it
might trigger some action.

- Pay to get it fixed. This is the only way you can guarantee action.
Volunteers set their own agenda, and paid support companies go where their
