Hm, yes, I didn't sign off on that, I think? Please always do follow-ups for
changes like that once a patch has reached signed-off status.

I also think this is a misunderstanding entirely. We were not asking for the
expiration date to show on the news item, but for a hint on the news form in
staff that the news will still be accessible by direct URL even if expired.
