The same for me, you are right

When I delete an item, it can not be anymore seen in search results - so ok for
me.

Authority "used in X records" is done by search engine, so  when it works, it
gets the correct number - I just tested it and it is ok when i remove record
with authority linked.

Fines linked with items remains linked and show the name of item in description
- but it is the question if we do wan't to show it or not then - it could be
useful information even if the item/biblio no longer "exists".

So I agree, there is more things to test and it is not easy to find all places
which should be tested...
