Tried testing this on bywater sandbox.

Steps (Browser Chrome): 

a. Enabled EnableAdvancedCatalogingEditor in Administration interface
b. Went to Cataloging
c. Clicked on "Advanced editor" button
d. Browser hangs with "Loading, please wait..."

Repeated on Firefox
Repeated on IE

Back to Chrome:
a. Disabled EnableAdvancedCatalogingEditor in Administration interface
b. Went to Cataloging
c. Clicked on "New Record Button", selected "Default Framework"
d. Browser doesn't hang.
