Maybe I'm being stupid.. but this doesn't seem to be working for me.

First off the validation doesn't seem to be activating on edit or new for me (
managed to enter 1~$ for example)

Second, when I go to edit, I'm faced with an empty form rather than one that
contains the existing data for me to edit.

What am I doing wrong ?
