Tbh, I have not read all comments to the end, but this appears to be a
discussion on how to:

- better store our frameworks
- update the existing frameworks in an installation to changes in the standard.

While both are great goals, I don't think this warrants a 'major'. Might even
be categorized as enh? Lowering severity to normal for now.
