As discussed over IRC:

1. A batch should never be automatically unchecked by the system. It should
remain checked through the whole process until a cataloger unchecks the batch.
2. If a batch and a specific ID is checked, then saving the record will
overwrite the record with that ID, it will not duplicate the record.
