We also do nightly restarts, but it would be much nicer if it worked
immediately. The problem occurs for example, when the calendar is changed, but
it doesn't show on the self check immediately. (due dates calculated
differently than at the circ desk). Bug 19740 I filed a while ago could be a
possible duplicate?
