Patches rebased on top of bug 25172.

I also modified the first patch (and its commit message) to remove the 3 lines
to the log4perl config

+log4perl.appender.OPAC.create_at_logtime=true
+log4perl.appender.OPAC.syswrite=true
+log4perl.appender.OPAC.recreate=true

If we need them, that must be done on a dedicated bug report.
