Sorry to jump in... but I'd like to veto a pref, because it won't be
translatable. We support over 100 libraries in over 20 countries currently
which makes collecting and adding translations with jQuery pretty nightmarish.

I like the idea of a pull down, because that way we could keep translations in
the templates. Or a way to add translations of course that is accessible to the
libraries easily.
