As I explained in the main commit message, this patch is a first step. The
discussions highlighted the need of a message queue for other uses I had not in
mind (like plugins).
I am not asking for any privileges here, and I don't have any personal
interests in this feature, but I feel like it's something very important for
the project.
If you really think it should be redone and it's not acceptable as it (because
the design is wrong and will block further enhancements) then we should not let
it go as it. I am willing to help anybody who would like to improve it.

I am resetting to NQA as the patches do not have a PQA stamp.
