Thanks for the clarification, Katrin. It does appear to be an English legal
term, and that it typically refers to debts. I love learning new things.

Maybe --statue-barred-fees or --statute-barred-debts might be a little more
explicit? Before Katrin explained the term to me, I probably could've intuited
the meaning of "statue-barred-fees" or "statute-barred-debts", but I was
confused what "thing" that "statute-barred" would refer to without my newfound
knowledge.
