I do not have a Mint OS to test against, but I can inform you that we are not
testing against that distro. Our CI tooks test again Debian 8,9, 10 and Ubuntu
18.04 with various combinations of MySQL and MariaDB. As such those are the
recommended and guaranteed distributions.

Now, as Mint is Debian based it's likely to work but we do not officially
support it.

I'm de-escalating this ticket until it's varified.

I think Mason may have given the best advice to check on the mailing list to
see if anyone else is having similar issues in a similar configuration.  As he
also states, the community do not maintain any live CDs and as such asking for
support with them here will be met with a lack of knowledge.

Good luck, I hope your experience with the software improves. In the majority
of cases I am met with friendly thanks for all the efforts this wonderful team
undertake to support and improve this free and open software.
