Thanks for pointing this out and reporting it, Katrin. I still can't seem to
enable strict mode, can you please tell me how to do this?

I suppose we want to fix the bug on Bug 26020 before getting this patch through
(in fact fixing Bug 26020 might fix this problem) so I'll set 26020 as blocking
this bug.
