Hi Estel, 

this looks more like a support request, so it would be much better suited for
your support provider or the general mailing list
(https://koha-community.org/support/koha-mailing-lists/). One thing you could
try is making sure that you have not turned on QueryAutoTruncate as this
created problem with the relevance ranking. In general I'd check for changes
with your searching system preferences. 

If you mail the mailing list, please make sure to include your Koha version and
if this occured after an update or after any changes were made etc.
