Add this entry to you koha-conf.xml file:
   <tmp_path>/var/lib/koha/$INSTANCE/tmp</tmp_path>

with $INSTANCE the name of your koha installation.
Create the tmp directory if it does not exist, and give it the correct
permissions (to your koha user).

Then restart the services (memcached, plack then apache)
