I'd say this bug looks far more useful than mine in bug 24650, which only
solves a single problem I had. If we are moving more towards API driven
interfaces, the need to reliably parse and manipulate dates in JS is crucial.
Since moment.js is the defacto way of doing this in JS, it seems by far the
best way forward.
I'll apply and sign this off now.
