This works as expected so I'm signing it off...

But.. I would really like to see the logic factored out into an include file.
It seems ripe for such a factoring task and would lead to less code to maintain
and thus a lower likelihood of future mistakes in this area.

I'd really like to see the above addressed as part of QA
