I've patched our own 18.11 and 19.11 with Ere's fix, so I wouldn't be surprised
if it affects 18.05 as well. 

(How far back are we supporting these days?)

It would be good to see this get pushed to the stable branches ASAP. While this
problem shouldn't affect anyone using Debian packages, I'm sure there are lots
of people around the world who aren't using them.
