Hi Bernard,

I just tested this on master and our 18.11.13 test installation and cannot
replicate:

- Edited an existing patron
- Added "Address: 1" to the circulation note field
- Saved
- Note is shown on the checkouts and details tabs
- Editing the patron and the note works as expected

Could there be some custom JavaScript be at play in your installation?

Please reopen if I am wrong and the problem still persists for you.
