This patch is an enhancement in the sense that it displays useful info about
"deletion impossible", but can be considered as a bugfix (and so backported) as
it will prevent phantom holds.

I would deal with a behavior change on a separate bug report. IMO it's not
obvious that everybody wants to block items (that have holds) deletion (there
is an alert already to tell that holds will be deletion along with the item).
