I created a new LANG code=xxx, description=description xxx
I set a 041$a to xxx and "xxx" was displayed on the detail page. I had other
041 with "correct" value (translated into correct language string).

IIRC I used
   041##$adut$afre$ager$aita$aspa$beng
and replaced fre with xxx
