It hasn't to do with specific servers, but with the number of the selected
servers on the z3950_search.pl page.

My current setup is koha 19.11.05.000 on Debian 9 and I still get a message
similar to the following if I try to query against a lot (a hundred or more) of
z39.50 targets:

"Gateway Timeout
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or
application.

  Apache/2.4.25 (Debian) Server at [address] Port [port]"

I wonder, could it be that it has to do with apache settings and isn't strictly
a koha problem?
