This was actually causing merge conflicts when I applied this bug to latest
master, so I made this switch as part of the merging

I'm not sure what you mean here. Do you mean the renewal function in the "My
account" in the OPAC? If so, unseen renewals are already handled there. I'm
guessing you're referring to something else though...
