Hi Lucas, I just tested this on master and it worked for me:

- Went to "Juvenile" patron category and checked every other checkbox
- Created a new patron for "Juvenile" - preselected checkboxes showed according
  to my patron category settings.
- Checked all the checkboxes and saved

My change to the settings has saved correctly.

Could you check if we were doing someting differently?
