I feel like it might be beneficial to show it - it's easy to hide and it
hightlights a change. In the past, we didn't have the table configuration and
new columns always showed up... so maybe it's not that much of a change.

I can see why we would want to hide it too - maybe need more opinions, but
don't see this as a blocker.
