I retested this:

- Turn on multi part checking and edit 3999900000018 to have $3
- Check out 3999900000018 in staff
- Go to sco/sco-main.pl
- The checkout shows in the table of checkouts
- The last column is "Renew item"
- Click on it, click "Renew" - page refreshes, all is good
- Apply patches, repeat
- Renew doesn't direct back to the overview page anymore
