Hi Kamilla,
there is no extended search - do you mean the item search or the advanced
search? It works for me on both forms with a full barcode.
If you copied the barcode from another page, make sure you remove the
whitespace before and after, especially for item search. Could this be issue?

Otherwise: Is your Koha set up for using Zebra or with Elasticsearch?
