    <title>Conclusion</title>

<para>A principal consideration for the Koha project team is the broad
range of both librarianship and computer/technical expertise found in the
user community -- and how or if the needs of the broad categories (from
small/personal, to large/institutional) can be met. The abilities of Koha
to support both the simplicity desires of the small library and the
facility with items numbering in the millions will be heavily shaped by
the scalability and customizability provided for in the architecture,
which has evolved around the needs of the midsized library.</para>

<para>The analysis indicates that Koha, with some internal rearrangement
by the project's Perl coders and extensions to existing schemas by the
database team, could continue to enjoy and extend the utilities it has
successfully provided to institutions on six continents.</para>
