Well, this is the first announcement I've heard since the irc meeting
which probably explains the shyness noted below ;)

In an case, thanks for starting the process.

OOS?

A significant other Pro is that you have significant influence over and
history with Koha. This is something that no one (except Rosalie) can
touch.

hmm, I'd hoped to stay in the shadows, but I guess since I was one of the
folks bringing up the idea it's only fair that I be nominated as well.
I'll try to post a candidacy statement in a bit. I will mention a
possible katipo-like conflict of interest. I'm mulling over the idea of a
US based Koha support and development company. (It's not serious yet, but
it may happen.) Along similar lines, I'd like to see the koha community
have other commercial members (individual consultants and/or companies), I
think having a local source for support will help more organizations adopt
koha.

I think Rosalie is a good candidate for the same reasons I like Rachel's
self-nomination.

I wish I could speak more to Nick and Roger. From what I've seen, both
are very committed, very capable, and care about the success of Koha.

This is a good point. I think that the person needs to be able to at
least speak developer though, because their constituency is going to be
made up (largely) of developers.

I may campaign for someone else to be elected, but I shant back out ... I
helped start this boulder rolling, I feel obligated to stick with it.
