[Koha-devel] Question about Duplicating Cataloging Fields

Hi all,

I submitted a bug report:
http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2123 but I want
to check with all of you to see what you expect the functionality of
the plus sign in the cataloging module to be. Here's what my bug
says:

"If I hit a plus on a field with a value in it it creates a dup of that field -
I just want a blank field .. in particular when I hit a plus next to an
authorized value because there is no way to erase the data and start fresh - I
have to replace it with another authorized value."

Basically, I wanted to add another subject heading to a MARC record I
was editing but when I hit the plus it duplicated the field and I
wasn't able to alter the data in the field without picking another
authorized subject heading - what if I didn't have an authorized
heading for that field? For this reason I suggest that the field be
blank when hitting a plus - or that we have the option of either
duplicating or creating a blank new field.
