Thanks Paul and Galen,

I appreciate the feedback.

I am the System's Manager at Kenton County Public Library in Kentucky.
We are just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. We have a system
of 3 libraries, that do around 2 million circulations per year. We
started looking at ILS' a few months ago just to see what's available
out there.

I have a Master's in Library Science and a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in
Art History, both from the University of North Texas, but I also have
many hours of college credit in Computer Science. I also have Solaris
and Redhat certifications pinned on my wall. I worked as a Reference
Librarian in both academic and public libraries until I got into
systems work at Harris County Public Library in Houston, about 8 years
ago. I got tired of the Houston commute and moved to Kentucky about
6 years ago.

My attendance at Kohacon spurred my interest in Koha. My only real
incentive is that I enjoy working in Koha and it's my way of giving
back. I've been using open source ever since I can remember, if you
stretch the meaning of open source to include the Commodore 64
programs that were published in PC Magazine where you typed in
thousands of data statements, but I never really contributed to it. My
contributions are really an extension of my librarian philosophy. No
one becomes a librarian for the money. The work I do in Koha is in my
spare time, so I don't see myself doing any large scale development at
this time.
