Thanks Chris. Will give it a try.

One concern I have is the 2.2.9 database uses charset Latin1.
But the Koha3 database will be UTF-8.

One punter on this list recommended the following to change over
to UTF-8.

1. set charset (?) to BINARY
2. then set it to URF-8

dunno how that will affect a proper changeover to URF-8.
