Yes for now.

Yes it could be done by a form between biblio creation and item
creation if the marc field we choose to hold the cover image
information is populated ( refer Ian's mail earlier in this thread ).
And also may be post cataloging from the details page in staff
interface ( To facilitate uploading cover images for biblios already
in the cataloge).

Yes batch upload will be a good feature.

May be in future versions? As a syspref under control of the library?
