OK.
Maybe the best thing to do would be to clone a git project.
Then move to rc1 tag.
list the difs.
commit them
Then rebase to 3.0.x.
But Yes, takes some time.

OR you could try and see which patches address that bug.
And port them onto your install.
But... quite risky
