Hi Clay.
Serious questions.
About z3950 support,
I investigated in JZ3950 Kit
http://k-int.blogspot.com/2008/05/exposing-solr-services-as-z3950-server.html
It seems a serious candidate.
About parallelized index creation process, I think I read something
about that for solr 1.4.1. But not sure if I can grab on that soon.
At least we are investigating solr multicore in order to use solr at its
best.
