[Koha-devel] 3.2.x Maintenance Reminders

Hi folks,

Its great to see all of the hard work being done on Koha of late. Over
850 commits have been pushed to master since the 3.2.0 branch, and
over 525 commits have been pushed to the 3.2.x branch since that same
time.

With the big push on to QA and push commits in before the string
freeze for 3.4.0, this is a good time to draw our attention to a
couple of good maintenance practices.

Please,

1. ensure that commits which should be backported to 3.2.x apply
cleanly to the 3.2.x branch _before_ submitting them for sign-off.

2. clearly note [3.2.x] in the subject line of patches intended only for 3.2.x.

3. sign off on _both_ versions of a patch if there are two versions.

If these things are done, there is far less of a chance of a patch
being dropped and not making it into 3.2.x.

Thanks again for all of the hard work that goes into making Koha the
great ILS that it is!

Kind Regards,
Chris Nighswonger
3.2.x Release Maintainer
