Hi Tom

There are multiple ways to do it.
File a bug at bugs.koha-community.org  and attach a patch fixing it
File a bug at bugs.koha-community.org and pay someone else to write a patch
File a bug at bugs.koha-community.org and wait for someone to have
time to fix it on their own time.

You will notice a common theme here :)

I'd encourage you to file a bug with as much information as you can.
