Hi!

I've just added my name on the wiki for the translation manager. In the past, i've been involved in other translation project (kde)and i wanted to be now more involved in koha.

Cheers

Samuel

PS: i think too it would be a good idea to add a description for each position.

Did not even know that I was incumbent ;)
I was looking on the wiki for a description of module maintainer, but could not find it.
What should we expect from a module maintainer? (Anyone can have an idea about it, but we did not make that explicit.) How does (s)he fit in the work flow from sign-off to push ?
Should we also look at the default assignees and default cc’s in Bugzilla per category (a related topic, I suppose) ?

Marcel

Just a bump... we still need a Translation Manager (someone with a non-English first language preferred), and specific module maintainers. More bug wranglers are always welcome, too!

We have single candidates for the other single-person positions, which will make the voting quite... limited. Anyone interested in running for Documentation Manager, Quality Assurance Manager or Release Manager should add their names before next Wednesday, April 4, 2012. A brief description of your goals, philosophy or platform would be appreciated; we already know what our incumbent candidates are planning to do.

Cheers,

-Ian

With the release of Koha 3.8.0 scheduled for 23 April 2012, it's time
to start thinking about roles for the 3.10 series.

We would like volunteers for:

   * Release Manager
   * Translation Manager
   * Documentation Manager
   * Database Documentation Manager
   * Quality Assurance (QA) Manager
   * Assistant QA Managers
   * Specific Module maintainers
   * Release Maintainers
   * Packaging Manager (and grasshopper)
   * Bug Wranglers (the more the merrier!)
   * Meeting chair

Anyone who wants take on any of these roles is more than welcome to
write their name next to one on
http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Roles_for_3.10 and perhaps link to
their proposal.

The community will vote on these during the General IRC meeting

4 April 2012 at 10:00 UTC +0000, straight after the release news.

Please, consider stepping forwards to help lead Koha's development.
