[Koha-devel] Interesting discussion about DBIx::Class on bug 8798

This discussion should imo not be continued on that bug? 
I favor the approach, but it will probably take a lot of time to reach the longterm goals mentioned and a hopefully not too awkward transition period..
Perhaps we need some joint module-by-module approach?

Hi folks,

Just to avoid having someone missing the thread: there is a very
interesting & long-term discussion on bug 8798.

This bug is a 1st attempt to introduce DBIx::Class into Koha.
We have been lucky to see DBIC maintainer jumping onto IRC & discussing
with us.
If you want to add your word to what's discussed here, do it now !

(last note: and if you have a lot of money to give to any support
company, let us know, it's a huge task, will be much better if funded by
someone...)
