[Koha-devel] Optimisation and DBI::ping

Hi Robin,

We (at BibLibre) encounter the same problem with remote DB.
I submitted a patch (bug 10611) in order to enable the
mysql_autoreconnect flag and remove the ping calls. It is certainly
not the best way given that it is specific for MySQL.
It is not in production yet, so I cannot assure it is useful.
Maybe it could be useful in your case.
