I'd like to present the work done on Bug 11927 :

We started this work during last HackFest with goal to propose a support 
of Greek characters in Zebra CHR indexing mode.

One will say that ICU mode is recommended for non-latin languages, but 
the problem is that in the case of a mixed Greek+Latin catalogue, the 
transliteration of greek into latin is unwanted.
In fact, a greek user wants to search greek records using greek 
characters. With ICU those characters will be transliterated and they 
may match latin records.

Any people interested in testing is welcomed.

I already apologize if something is obviously wrong.
I do not speak greek but I've learned it a bit at school and it's a 
pleasure to use this fantastic language again.
