Thanks Robin -- "remove" isn't on the Wiki page, but it did point me to the 
man page for koha-create which (last line) pointed me to koha-remove.

My apologies for being dense -- please remember that this is the first time 
I've ever tried the package install after three (successful) years of tarballs.

I'll try again tomorrow -- got to dig the car out of 18 inches of fresh 
snow and go home for supper...
